The Epe-born former Governor of Lagos State, Akinwumi Ambode is towing a new path. The politician, who had given politics a space after his term as Governor has joined the league of hotel owners in the city of aquatic splendour. Ambode’s new baby is the Hyatt Regency, a 120-room luxury edifice tucked in the heart of Ikeja, Lagos.
To those in the know, the project is a testament to the former Governor’s tenacity and his dream of a Lagos that can stand alongside Dubai, Paris, Istanbul, and other tourist fantasies.
