A NEW spa salon is set to open in the city centre. Luna Wellbeing Circle is set to open on Wednesday (October 30) in The Gallery shopping arcade on The Shambles, Worcester. Wellbeing and holistic therapist, Sharon Townsend, who owns the spa salon, said: "This will be an exclusive, one-to-one salon experience specifically for women.

"I'll be the first dedicated Japanese Head Spa salon in Worcestershire and it's ideal for anyone who wants to completely switch off. "It's relaxing, luxurious and women will be feel empowered by it." Luna Wellbeing Circle will offer services by appointment only, with treatments lasting an average of one hour.

The Japanese Head Spa went viral online earlier this year, achieving millions of views on social media app TikTok as influencers in cities such as London and New York delivered positive reviews. On the treatment, which is rooted in Japanese culture, Mrs Townsend said: "I use a magnifying camera to assess the health of the scalp and its condition. "I specifically look at what treatments their scalp and hair need, for example, if they have dry skin.

"It helps with hair growth and improving blood supply around the head. "Mood lighting, rainforest showers of different strengths, sound, and touch all add to the sensation." Luna Wellbeing Circle's menu features facials and massages which can added onto Japanese Head Spa packages or booked individually.
