A new era begins for Mobile Ballet on Oct. 6 when they open their 2024-25 season in a different setting for the first time in decades. The bricks are coming down at the Mobile Civic Center theater, so the pirouettes and arabesques have moved to the Saenger Theatre (6 S.
Joachim St.). The vaudeville-era showplace has a fraction of the stage space and backstage facilities the dance company previously enjoyed so the challenges are all new, too.
