A recent study published by The Lancet Neurology revealed that more than 3 billion people in the world are living with various kinds of neurological conditions. Neurological conditions have become one of the leading causes of ill health and disability globally making it a serious 'Global Health Burden,' says the World Health Organisation.

Since the tear 1990, there has been an increase in the percentage of disability, illness and premature death (known as disability-adjusted life years, DALYs) caused by neurological conditions by almost 18 per cent. According to WHO, more than 80 per cent of the neurological deaths and poor health conditions occur in countries with low and middle income. Health conditions are also poor due to lack of access in these regions.
