Earlier this year Pooja Entertainment, helmed by producer Vashu and Jackky Bhagnani filed a complaint against Netflix claiming that the streaming giant cheated them out of nearly 47.37 crores when selling the streaming rights to three of their films Hero No1, Mission Raniganj and Bade Miyan Chote Miyan. While Netflix has refuted claims, Economic Offences Wing investigating officer has revealed that the streaming giant is not co-operating during the investigation.
A post shared by Pooja Entertainment (@pooja_ent) While talking to HT, the officer Senior Inspector Ravindra Avhad said they have sent two summons to the streaming giant but none were replied back to. He told the portal, "This amount of ₹47.37 crores is what Netflix owes to the complainant Vashu Bhagnani.
But Netflix is not cooperating. We sent them two summons, but they are not appearing. They haven't replied to the letter sent to them by us.
" Talking about Pooja Entertainment's complaint he added, "Bhagnanis came to us in April, we recorded their statements, collected the required documents. Netflix asked for some time, but aaye hi nahi. Lower level ke staff ko bhej dete hain statement ke liye, but it is Monica Shergill (Content Head, Netflix India) who should appear.
