Netflix viewers have been let down by the streaming service yet again as another well-regarded series has been cancelled after just two seasons. To make matters worse, this sequel to a beloved 1990s sitcom concluded its latest instalment with a gripping cliffhanger and too many loose threads to count. The sequel to the wildly popular That 70s Show starring Ashton Kutcher and Mila Kunis, a third season of That 90s Show won’t be happening any time soon.

Starring returning cast members Debra Jo Rupp and Kurtwood Smith as Kitty and Red Forman, the series follows their granddaughter Leia (played by Callie Haverda), who makes new friends after staying with her grandparents during the summer of 1995. Released in two parts in June and August 2024, season two left Leia’s future uncertain after she decided to stay with Kitty and Red in Point Place for the school year. However, her mother Donna Pinciotti (Laura Prepon) clashed with Kitty about the decision and the season finale concludes with hints that she could take back her decision to let Leia stay.

Meanwhile, Leia’s relationship with Jay Kelso (Mace Coronel) was also left on shaky ground after Jay lied about stealing Kitty’s keys to throw a party on the roof of the school, suggesting there may have been a breakup planned in the now cancelled Part Four. Fans of That 90s Show have now vented their disappointment on social media, especially in the wake of so many unresolved storylines. “What the hell?!!!” one viewer fumed .
