: The Nehru Zoological Park in Hyderabad has been awarded the International Standard Organisation (ISO) 9001:2015 certification for the fifth consecutive year. A. Sivaiah, managing director of HYM International Certification Pvt.
Ltd, Hyderabad, presented the certification to the zoo's administration team, led by Dr Sunil S. Hiremath, director of zoo parks, and curator J. Vasantha.
The ISO team evaluated wildlife conservation, particularly for endangered species, reviewed maintenance, breeding, collaborative research, and capacity-building initiatives before issuing the certificate. Vasantha said the city was the only zoo in the country to receive the ISO 9001:2015 certification for its efforts in conserving wildlife, particularly endangered species, through improved maintenance, planned breeding, and collaborative research..
