DAILY POST reports that a total of 22 students lost their lives while 132 sustained injuries in the collapsed school building in Jos, Plateau State capital, on Friday. Reacting via her X handle, Simi blamed negligence and lack of value for life in Nigeria as reasons for the unfortunate incident.

She lamented that the things people die for in Nigeria are “so maddening.” The singer wrote: “All those babies just gone like that because of people’s negligence. The worst thing about Nigeria is the lack of value for life.
