NCIS has been going strong for many years, and now it’s expanding to include a prequel series, NCIS: Origins. Being covered in NCIS: Origins is the back story of Leroy Jethro Gibbs (Austin Stowell) in the early 1990s. What will be addressed in the forthcoming Christmas episode of the program spotlights the complex relationship between Leroy and the character Mike Franks (Kyle Schmid).

NCIS: Origins' upcoming show, which is titled Blue Bayou, will focus on Leroy’s development, and observe the road he took to get on the NIS crew. CBS divulged in October that “Blue Bayou” would allow fans to enjoy the holidays with Leroy as he experiences his first Christmas without his wife and daughter, Collider reported. The TV station also noted that the flashbacks in the December 25 show would unveil an “unlikely journey” that Leroy went through to get on the NIS team.

Fans have to wait for the episode to see which case or cases Leroy will be taking on.

However, what is known now is that the character of former Marine Lala Dominguez (Mariel Molina) is involved, therefore a team-up can be expected. NCIS: Origins .
