Rapper NBA YoungBoy is expected to plead guilty in his federal weapons case and request a transfer from Louisiana to Utah , according to WAFB . The 24-year-old artist, already under house arrest for a separate case, was arrested earlier this year at his Utah home for alleged involvement in a prescription drug fraud scheme . The weapons charge stems from a 2020 incident in Baton Rouge, where police reportedly found him with firearms during a music video shoot.

YoungBoy's attorney, Drew Findling, has filed paperwork to enter a guilty plea and transfer the case to Utah . The rapper faces charges in both Cache County and Weber County, Utah . If the case moves to Utah , YoungBoy must proceed with the guilty plea or risk the case returning to Louisiana.

He potentially faces up to 10 years behind bars, along with fines and supervised release. Recently Chief Judge Shelly Dick "agreed to postpone the case" to allow higher courts to provide guidance on applying federal gun laws. DON'T MISS.
