Nathan Carter has provided a renovation update after buying himself a new home in Co Fermanagh. The Wagon Wheel singer sold his previous home back in 2022, a stunning mansion located in a rural part of Enniskillen, which he had spent ten years living in. Despite being one of the busiest people in Irish music, the country star is currently in the midst of his latest housing project, once again in the Lakeland County.

Nathan’s new home which he’s focused on transforming with a complete renovation is a private bungalow on the water just outside Enniskillen. Having secured planning permission to tear down 90% of the existing home, Nathan is aiming big when it comes to his goals for what’s set to be his escape when he’s not playing live shows. ‘It’s an old bungalow on the lake.

I’ve just got planning permission to tear down about 90 per cent of it. ‘So I’m gonna do that over the summer and then get a builder to come in and start building the new house,’ he told RSVP Country. With a love of ‘old houses’, Nathan wants to turn the property from a bungalow into a two-story Georgian-style house and even has his dad onboard to provide tips and help.

‘My dad’s a builder but he can’t do it because he’s building his own house at the minute in Liverpool. So I’m gonna hire diggers and get to work tearing it down myself,’ he said. During the build, Nathan will be living in a ‘little boathouse down by the lake’ which he built, which features a kitchen, living room and a toilet.

However, he’s yet to install a shower. ‘When I was growing up Dad always bought houses, done them up and sold them. I lived in about six houses until I moved to Ireland when I was 17.

So I’ve inherited that, unfortunately,’ he joked. The housing update from Nathan arrives after he recently confirmed that he’s still single, but is looking to ‘settle down one day’ and ‘have kids’..
