She completed her ensemble with a pair of earrings that matched her trousers and otherwise skipped the accessories but for her wedding band. Her mother Margaret has made it clear she does not accept her sexuality, but loves her all the same. '[My mother and I] have great conversations about all sorts of things, but there are certain things we just don't talk about,' she said.

'I would love to be able to talk about relationship stuff with my mum, but I know that I will never be able to.'
