Nantes manager Antoine Kombouaré has labelled Moses Simon an important player. Simon was on target in the Canaries 2-0 victory over Auxerre on Sunday. It was Nantes’ first win of the 2023/25 season.

The 28-year-old curled in a beautiful shot from inside the box in the 18th minute of the encounter. Kombouaré described Simon as a key player for his team. “He gives strength, energy to his teammates when he is on the pitch,”he told .

“He knows how to speak out, because he is small but he has a lot of character, he does not let people walk all over him.” Despite the huge accolade, Kombouaré has challenged the pacy winger to do more for the former Ligue 1 champions this season. “You have a team with Simon and without Simon, but he has to prove it again this season.

What he did in previous seasons was good, he made himself indispensable at times, he made himself important, but we have to reset the counters to zero,”he added..
