Actor Nana Patekar recently shared an anecdote that highlights the simplicity and humility of celebrated filmmaker Sooraj Barjatya. Speaking in an interview with The Lallantop, Patekar recalled an incident from their early days in the film industry when Barjatya worked as an assistant director on Pratighaat . "One day, he brought me my shoes. I said, ‘Don’t do this, I can get my own shoes,’ but he insisted. He said, ‘No, sir (with folded hands).
’ I told him, ‘Sooraj, you are the heir to this big organisation, don’t do this.’ But he replied, ‘I am the assistant, this is my job,’” Patekar shared. "He saw me coming and again bowed down with his hands folded. I was shocked that he hasn’t changed one bit. He is just as simple.
