It was our friend the Pet Whisperer who started our latest culinary escapade going. Our pet enthusiast friend had joined my dining partner and me for a day trip to Rogersville. On our return, the newest addition to the dine-around bunch spotted a sign advertising Randall’s Restaurant in Church Hill, promising old-fashioned American cooking done right and breakfast served all day long.

The “old-fashioned American cooking” phrase caught the Pet Whisperer’s eye, while the “breakfast served all day” attracted the attention of my dining partner. Me, I was hungry for anything so long as it was hot, nourishing and followed proper health control guidelines. In Kingsport on Interstate 26 West, take the West Stone Drive (US Highway 11-W) exit, turning left toward Mount Carmel and Church Hill.

A 15-minute drive on US Highway 11-W finds you at the junction with Old Union Road. The entrance to the Randall’s Restaurant parking lot can be seen from the turn-in on Highway 11-W. Randall’s Restaurant is a quiet, nondescript place located at the side of the US Highway 11-W in Church Hill.

The dining area can handle a good crowd, and there is a large party room available for bigger gatherings. Restrooms are easily accessed between the two dining areas. The restaurant’s interior currently displays pictures and photographs depicting historic buildings and landscapes.

We were greeted by the very professional and friendly Marie, who took care of us from the moment we walked through.
