A CHEAP kitchen ingredient has become a staple in one woman’s routine for nurturing her knee-length hair. Zelda confessed she isn’t loyal to any other beauty product when it comes to haircare. The 23-year-old YouTuber , from Savannah, Georgia, has racked up over 46,000 subscribers by sharing hair-related ASMR content.

Speaking to The U.S. Sun, she revealed how her tresses grew nearly five feet long.

Zelda confessed it’s difficult to recommend a specific hair growth product because her collection is so vast. “My hair cabinet consists of at least 50 products, all from various companies with different purposes,” she said. “I don't subscribe to any one company or product.

“I'm always changing up what products I use, and I love experimenting with new oils and brands.” She revealed coconut milk in a metal can is the only product she’s used consistently for the past five years. “It's not a hair product, but a kitchen ingredient,” she said.

“The best kind is unfiltered and ‘first pressing.’ “It won't work for everybody, but it seems to be a great moisturizer for my hair type.” Zelda said supplements can promote hair growth but she has stopped taking them in favor of focusing on a healthy diet.

“Women's supplements in particular usually contain a lot of biotin, which is theorized to be an important vitamin for hair, skin, and nail growth,” she said. “I've taken these women's multivitamins for many years, but nowadays, I'm trying to incorporate more fruits and veggies into my diet instead of relying on supplements. “Not just for my health, but also because of inflating costs.

” Braids are Zelda’s favorite daily protective style but it isn’t the only way that she keeps her hair from breaking. “If I'm going grocery shopping, cleaning, or stretching, I'll put it in my wide-headband-pocket style,” she said. My favorite daily protective style is a simple braid, this is what I usually wear around the house.

“Sometimes if I need to be fancy, I'll wrap it nicely up into a 6-inch claw clip. “But I do this sparingly, as the metal springs can easily catch hair.” She loves trendy hairstyles on Instagram such as high ponytails and half-up half-down styles but is mindful of how often she uses them.

“I only wear these for the photo shoot, then immediately return to my tried-and-true braid,” she said. Zelda previously revealed that it takes her up to 24 hours to wash her knee-length hair. She detangles her tresses the night before washing them.

Penetrative oils such as coconut oil are applied an hour before washing to prevent excess water from entering her hair shaft. After shampooing and conditioner, she leaves a conditioning mask to sit for up to 90 minutes. Zelda shampoos her hair again before rinsing it and waits a few hours for it to air dry.
