A man has slammed his 'entitled' fiancée for complaining about the price of her engagement ring, believing she's worth more than £2,400. He said while he could afford a more expensive ring, he wants to prioritise spending money on their wedding, honeymoon and house, or to pay off a car loan. However, his bride-to-be believes the price of her engagement ring directly correlates with how much he values having her in his life, sparking an argument between them.

He said on Reddit : "The diamond ring I bought for her was lab-grown, £2400. A few days after the proposal, everything seemed fine until she somehow discovered the price of the ring. "She told me she felt hurt that I would spend so little on her, claiming it reflected her worth and the seriousness of our future marriage.

When I asked what she had expected, she said the ring should have been at least £20,000." He pointed out how the extra money spent on a ring could be used to better their lives in other ways – such as to improve their living situation. He added: "As someone who didn’t grow up with financial stability, becoming financially secure and literate is a major priority for me.

But despite the conversation, she insisted she would still feel bothered if I didn’t upgrade the ring." After replaying her reaction over and over in his head, he decided to end his relationship with her, believing they have 'different values.' He said: "The price of a diamond ring should never dictate the quality of your marriag.
