A fortune teller and psychic has opened up about her unusual assistant who helps her with readings : her cat. Sinem Salman has been reading tarot cards since she was a teenager, but a couple of years ago, her career trajectory changed forever when she introduced a fluffy colleague to the mix. Now two, Sinem’s ragdoll cat Bonjuk has proven to be something of a psychic himself, and loves to assist her while she works.

‘Every time I open my cards and get the cloth out ready, he’s there,’ 43-year-old Sinem, who lives in London , told What’s The Jam. ‘Almost immediately as I start to read, he tells me what that client is feeling or their thoughts, what’s going on in their minds, what’s troubling them and if they need clarity around this situation,’ she added. That’s not all – Bonjuk is even able to ‘point’ or ‘lay’ on the cards, and often reaches out his paw to select one.

Sinem first noticed her feline friend’s talents around a year ago, when he kept coming over to her while she was performing psychic readings. Now, he materialises when she starts to prepare her cards. ‘He sits there and watches and listens to me while I’m doing readings,’ Sinem said, adding that since she brought him home, he’s contributed ‘so much peace and joy’ to her life.

‘He cries like a real human being and tries to communicate with us all in the home,’ the mum-of-four outlined. The family have had pets before, but nothing like Bonjuk, who will often wait at the door for his family members from the moment they leave until they get home. ‘He comes straight to you just by calling him now.

He’s such a beautiful soul,’ she said. Labelling herself ‘psychic-clairvoyant,’ Sinem always knew was ‘different,’ and connected with her spiritual abilities in childhood. ‘I used to always say things to people and predict things – like flights being delayed – and they would look at me a little bit weird and funny,’ she described.

‘But I’d predict something would happen and all of a sudden, a few hours would go past and what I had said would happen, did.’ On one occasion, she had a ‘gut feeling’ that something bad was about to happen – and later that evening, they were burgled.
