A FORMER bacne sufferer shared the routine that cured them of their bumps. They swore by two skincare buys that cleared up their back acne. Redditor Notacvt shared the skincare tip in a post.

They explained that after suffering from bacne for years, they were relieved to have discovered a routine that worked. "I suffered with bacne for upwards of five years, and I found a routine that has my back CLEAR," they said. After getting in the shower, they scrubbed their back with an African net sponge.

"Let your back dry a little bit before generously applying OXY 10% benzyl cream cleanser, " they said. After applying the cleanser to the affected areas, they let the treatment sit on the skin. "It’s important to let it sit; I usually loofah my whole body before I rinse, and when I rinse, I scrub again with the loofah," they said.

"Outside of the shower, dry off completely and apply The Ordinary Glycolic Acid 7% . I usually just let it drip down and then spread." While the strength of the two products didn't agree with everyone, they explained that it worked for them.

"People have different opinions about these products, which I respect, but they’re my holy grail," they said. "Back skin tends to be so thick and oily you have to use strong products that penetrate it. "I also had clogged pores, which the glycolic acid got rid of.

"My acne was diagnosed as bacterial by a dermatologist but also came and went hormonally, which was just related to oil production." Others who struggled with bacne seconded their product recommendations. "Great answer.

I've been doing this for a few years, and it works," said one commenter. "I also slather on 2.5% benzoyl peroxide.

I have suffered from back, chest, and shoulder acne for years. My skin is smooth now." They urged those suffering from body acne to avoid fragrances and potential irritants.

"Stay away from scented body washes. I use a non-scented bar of soap. Hope this helps," they added.

"My partner’s bacne responds really well to the 7% glycolic acid," said another. "Plus one for that recommendation!".
