m., and the seated high tea service begins promptly at 11 a.m.
All proceeds from this event benefit the Hill Country Youth Orchestras’ Music Education Program, with campuses in Kerrville, Boerne and Fredericksburg. “The beautiful setting of the Museum of Western Art is the perfect place to blend the traditions of the Texas Hill Country and the classical music of the Hill Country Youth Orchestras mission to ‘bring the joy of the orchestra experience to the youth of the Texas Hill Country,’” a spokesperson for the event said in a press release. Guests attending HCYO’s High Tea are encouraged to wear their finest hats for a festive time, play Bingo & Bubbles, win door prizes and be serenaded by HCYO students — all while enjoying a traditional high tea menu.
In the spirit of English teas, HCYO’s High Tea will offer a traditional English tea menu, catered by Rail’s A Café at the Depot, including a selection of savory sandwiches, scones and sweets served with tea in traditional teapots and tea cups, and a complimentary Bucks Fizz. Tickets for High Tea are $65 and include museum admission. The deadline to purchase tickets is Oct.
