She had been planning for a quick getaway with her husband Craig, when they stumbled across one Europe's most popular holiday destinations, and she was stunningly only set back £170. The Northampton woman who works as a nurse was jetting off for her first trip to Ibiza with her husband for the first time in 17 years.
She told Luxury Travel Daily what they had their eyes on first after landing on the island, saying: “(We got) straight in a taxi and went to a few different bars for shots and cocktails." Sarah who hasn't been able to find many opportunities to go back to the island since starting a family added:“It was really nice to have some relaxing time together. This was our first time back to Ibiza since our honeymoon 17 years ago.
While much was still very familiar, there had been lots of changes, too. And this was our first time abroad without the children.” Hitting the tarmac at Ibiza Airport at 11.
30pm their £170 24-hour trip began after spending £30 on taxis from the airport, £120 on alcohol, £30 on breakfast, £40 on two sun beds as well as their £60 each on easyJet flights. Explaining how she'd been able to book the flights for such a cut price, Sarah said: “I’d been monitoring the flight prices for a few days before booking, which I’d do again." Flying home a day later, shortly after midnight Sarah didn't hesitate about wanting to do it all again, saying they would '100%' be going back.
But, she did have on e thing she'd do differently next time, adding: “I would definitely take plenty more money for drinking, as it’s very expensive there. The cost of drinks was surprising and no real offers like there used to be." She also revealed that she's already thinking about her next getaway: “Other than a small delay, there were no real complications.
I will definitely be looking at where else we can go next.".
