Mumbai is all set to get its first elevated forest walkway in the Malabar Hill area. Inspired by Singapore’s forest walkways, this 705-meter path will connect Kamala Nehru Park to Doongerwadi woods. Also, the Brihanmumbai Municipal Corporation (BMC) is planning this eco-friendly initiative which will guarantee an amazing and scenic walking experience.

It will allow walkers to enjoy uninterrupted views of the Arabian Sea, which is of great significance. The walkway's wooden structure is carefully designed to blend with the natural surroundings.
Measures are also being taken to ensure minimal disruption to water flow along the hill slopes. This will also not disrupt the movement of wildlife in the region. The total budget for the walkaway would be of INR 25 crore.
Reports suggest that the BMC aims to complete the walkway by the end of this year.
