MTN Nigeria has reinforced its collaboration with the Lagos State Government to accelerate the state’s smart city ambitions, with a focus on digital infrastructure and improved service delivery. A key initiative in this effort is the launch of the My Lagos App, a digital platform designed to streamline public services and enhance urban living. The app, unveiled at an event in Lagos recently, provides residents with real-time access to transportation updates, emergency services, utility payments, business listings, and tourism information.

Speaking at the launch, Deputy Governor of Lagos State, Obafemi Hamzat, who represented Governor Babajide Sanwo-Olu, described the initiative as a milestone in Lagos’ journey toward becoming Africa’s leading smart city. “In our rapidly evolving world, technology has transitioned from a luxury to a necessity. By strategically harnessing it, we are not only enhancing governance and improving service delivery but also simplifying and enriching the lives of every Lagosian,” Hamzat said.

MTN Nigeria’s Chief Executive Officer, Karl Toriola, emphasised the app’s potential to transform urban management and public access to government services.
