Bhopal (Madhya Pradesh): The bureaucrats of Madhya Pradesh walked the ramp to showcase India's rich textile heritage at a fashion show, Weaves, Prints and Crafts of India, at Kushabhau Thakre Convention Centre on Friday. The exquisite weaves; vibrant prints and intricate crafts included Chanderi, Banarsi, Kanjivaram, Paithani, Patola, Bagh print from Madhya Pradesh, Ajrakh print from Gujarat and Bhopal's stunning zardozi embroidery. It was part of inaugural day of three-day Civil Service Meet-2024 organised by Madhya Pradesh IAS Officers’ Association.
The officials included Vivek Porwal and Shipra Porwal (Bagh Print), Dilip Mehra and Satjit Mehra (Kanjivaram), Sanjay Dubey and Dr Rachna Dubey (Banarsi), Shailendra Singh and Arti Singh (Paithani), Indu Singh (Chanderi), Shilpi Gehani (Ajrakh), Mohmamed Suleman and Seema Suleman (zardozi), Malay Shrivastava, Udita Shrivastava (Patola), Anupam Rajan and Smita Rajan (Patola), Ritu Gupta (Banarsi), Preeti Singh (Banarsi) , Raghavendra Singh and Mamta Singh. The showstoppers were Mohammed Suleman and Seema Suleman. The dazzling fashion show was designed and choreographed by well-known fashion designer Mumtaz Khan with captivating music and lighting.
