Motorola has teased the launch of a new phone on August 29. The company’s teaser doesn’t mention the name of the device. However, the reports indicate that it could be the Motorola Edge 50 Neo.
It will be the successor to the Motorola Edge 40 Neo , introduced in September last year. That said, it’s very likely that the Edge 40 Neo will see the light of the day at the upcoming Motorola event. The company has previously teased similar words to promote the Edge 50 series smartphones . The clip mentions “LYTIA”, “Pantone”, and “Intelligence Meets Art” for the upcoming device. This indicates Motorola’s new phone due on August 20 could be the Edge 50 Neo .
The alleged Motorola Edge 50 Neo’s live images were leaked recently, courtesy of Evan Blass (@evleaks) on X. The photos showed the four official color variants of the upcoming Edge 50 Neo. The colorways will include Grisaille (Black), Nautical Blue, Poinciana (Red), and Latte (Beige).
Edge 50 Neo will flaunt three rear cameras and a faux leather back panel According to the leaked images , the Motorola Edge 50 Neo will flaunt three primary cameras at the back. They will be located at the large camera island at the top-left corner, just like the Edge 50. The markings alongside the cameras suggest a 13-73mm focal range and optical image stabilization, presumably for the main lens.
Furthermore, we can expect the device to have a 50MP main shooter and a 10MP telephoto lens with 3X optical zoom. It could also feature a third 13MP ultra-wide-angle camera at the rear. Notably, the device is said to flaunt an attractive faux leather back panel.
The rumors suggest that Motorola Edge 50 Neo will launch in two RAM and storage configurations. The base model will offer 8GB of RAM and 256GB of storage. The higher-end variant is said to feature 12GB RAM and 512GB native storage.
