As Motorola continues to carve out its space in the competitive mid-end market, the Edge 50 Pro arrives with a promise of exceptional performance, advanced camera capabilities, and a refined design.

We used the smartphone for sometime and here’s our complete review of the same. Design Motorola Edge 50 Pro is undoubtedly one of the most pretty-looking mid-range smartphones available in the market. The smartphone sports a stylish and classy design.



The sleek smartphone sports a leather-like back panel and curved-edge display which offers a firm grip to the user. Motorola Edge 50 Pro comes in four colour options — Vanilla Cream, Luxe Lavender, Moonlight Pearl and Black Beauty. We got the Luxe Lavender colour which gives the phone a distinctive look that sets it apart in the crowded smartphone market.

The lightweight smartphone measures only 8.19mm and is quite comfortable to use with one hand. The smartphone also comes with IP69 rating which makes it resistant to dust and water.

Front of the smartphone is dominated by a 6.7-inch curved display and a 50MP selfie camera placed in the centre. Motorola Edge 50 Pro is surrounded by an aluminium frame which houses the power button and volume rockers on the right.

The SIM card tray and USB Type C charging port sits on the bottom. The camera module is neatly integrated into the upper left corner, creating a streamlined look. In all, the Motorola Edge 50 Pro manages to score well in the design department.

Camera Motorola Edge 50 Pro sports a triple rear camera which consists of a 50MP main sensor with f/1.4 aperture, 13MP ultra-wide angle lens with f/2.

2 aperture and 10MP telephoto lens with 50x hybrid zoom. There’s also a 50MP front camera with f/1.9 aperture.

The Motorola Edge 50 Pro shines in daytime photography, producing impressive results. Images captured in well-lit conditions exhibit excellent qualities: colours are accurately reproduced and sharp, white balance is spot-on, focus is crisp, and exposure is well-balanced. These elements combine to create visually appealing daytime shots.

The ultra-wide camera offers a broader field of view. Images from this lens tend to be less sharp compared to those from the main camera, and colour accuracy is somewhat compromised. The telephoto camera, on the other hand, delivers commendable performance.

It captures decent detail with a natural rendering. The dynamic range is expansive, and while the colours are pleasing, they don't exactly match those produced by the main camera. Low-light and nighttime photography yield mixed results.

The Motorola Edge 50 Pro features a 32MP front-facing camera for selfies, which delivers performance that largely mirrors the main rear camera's capabilities. In well-lit conditions, the selfie camera excels, producing high-quality self-portraits with impressive detail and clarity Battery Motorola Edge 50 Pro houses a 4,500mAh battery which comes with 125W wired fast charging support. The smartphone also comes with 50W wireless charging and 10W reverse wireless charging support.

The Motorola Edge 50 Pro delivered a decent battery backup. The smartphone managed to deliver up to 20 hours of battery life on a single charge. The company claims that the smartphone can charge from 0 to 100% in just 30 minutes.

During our testing the smartphone managed to charge completely within 30 minutes. Also, the reverse and wireless charging adds more flexibility and convenience. There is also a Boost mode available in the smartphone which increases the charging speed.

In all, Motorola Edge 50 Pro delivered a satisfactory performance in the battery department. Verdict Motorola Edge 50 Pro comes with a price tag of Rs 31,999, which makes a better deal as compared to the other mid-range smartphones available in the market. The smartphone packs a powerful processor, a punchy display, and a pretty good camera and also delivers a good battery performance.

The phone is a good choice if you want to experience a flagship smartphone without spending a lot of money..
