Swarovski takes on motion and organic movement in its autumn/winter 2024 collection which sees a return to the brand's design DNA with mastery of light and expertise in crystal cutting taking centre stage as designs morph and shift into ultra modern silhouettes of mesmerising beauty. The new collection plays with form, deconstructing and reshaping pieces in unexpected ways to realise new visions of signature Swarovski families, including Millenia, Matrix and Hyperbola. Meanwhile, new collections like Sublima showcase unique stone cuts, cool colours and fluid constructions, combined in wavelike structures ablaze with kinetic energy.

Building on the marine inspiration that flowed through the spring/summer 2024 collections, the new season designs merge Swarovski Crystal Pearls and Swarovski Crystals in bold shapes imbued with expressive elegance. Clear stones and rhodium plating herald the arrival of glamour, and exquisitely faceted snowflake motifs welcome the holidays with brilliance. The new Swarovski jewellery collections are available at select stores and online at swarovski.

photo courtesy of Montblanc Montblanc revisits the legacy of Jane Austen, one of Britain's most celebrated novelists, in its latest annual writing instrument collection "Montblanc Writers Edition Homage To Jane Austen". It celebrates the beloved literary genius whose works place her alongside Shakespeare in the history of English literature's greats. Over 200 years after her death, her works continue inspiring many adaptations, films, societies and festivals, highlighting her enduring appeal.

Each writing instrument in the collection represents a significant passion in her life. The wax seal that Austen used for the estimated 3,000 letters she wrote during her lifetime inspires the shape of all four editions. The first three editions feature the words "By A Lady" on the cap top, while the fourth reveals her real name.

The design of the nib showcases her silhouette in a style reminiscent of Regency and Victorian shadow portraits, while the clip shape draws inspiration from the band of a reticule, a pouch-like ladies' handbag from the Regency era. The collection is available from Montblanc boutiques and online. Visit montblanc.

photo courtesy of Loro Piana The essence of Loro Piana is represented by Loom, a roomy, versatile tote bag in a trapezoid shape that speaks the true language of Italian leather working. It's an extraordinary journey through the history of the maison, known worldwide for its heritage of transforming the finest raw materials into timeless, exceptional masterpieces. A tribute to the art of knitwear, Loom is made from fine calfskin with a soft and silky hand.

The bag is distinguished by the back panel, a unique piece that drapes gracefully over the metal bar, mirroring the way the fabric falls on the loom. The brand also offers a model in cotton and linen canvas, which is waterproof and stain-resistant, with a compact and visible weave that creates natural hues, and a version in antique cotton, a yarn-dyed canvas made with linen yarns that give the bag an irregular, natural finish. Both bags feature a domed leather lining.

The Loom bag is available at Loro Piana boutique at Siam Paragon. 4. D&G Alta Sartoria 2024 collection.

photo: Filippo Fior Dolce & Gabbana presents Alta Sartoria 2024, the latest collection to draw inspiration from the Festival of Sant'Efisio and Sardinian folklore, both in the choice of decorative motifs and materials as well as in craftsmanship. The floral designs, executed in petit point, crochet or embroidered with bugle beads, crystals, jet and cannetille, evoke the infiorata of Sant'Efisio, a tradition of strewing rose petals on the streets of Cagliari during the saint's celebrations. Just as Sardinian costumes are richly diverse reflecting the various civilisations that have inhabited the island over time, this collection offers a wide array of fabrics -- from moiré to lace adorned with elegant flounces, to the finest velvets embroidered with decorative gold-wound threads that pay tribute to the traditional folk bolero.

The collection also pays tribute to the world of sheep-herding and its distinctive mastruca, the large wool coat worn by the Mamuthones during the Mamoiada Carnival. 5. The Classic afternoon tea.

Located within a traditional Sino-Portuguese shophouse on Soi Romanee, one of the world's most beautiful streets, the new restaurant and bar celebrates Phuket's rich tin-mining history and pays homage to the area's colourful past. It features typical Chinese Baroque architecture, with ornate wooden doors, intricate Chinese fretwork and a striking façade in white, turquoise and antique red.

Inside, Bill Bensley, aka the "Star-chitect", has created a moody, sexy interior that harks back to the area's famous opium dens using antique furnishings, rich materials and gorgeous shades of coral, turquoise and jade green. Downstairs, guests can enjoy a themed list of creative cocktails, while Opium Den dining experiences are offered upstairs. The club operates from noon to midnight seven days a week.
