Announced mere minutes ago at San Diego Comic-Con , fighter Mortal Kombat 1 is getting a monstrous expansion which adds an entire new story campaign, six characters, and much more from 24th September. The add-on is available to pre-order on PS5 starting today, and will cost $49.99, so it’s a hearty offering.

A full command list for every Fatality with distance and inputs Roster ready “After repelling the invaders who endangered Fire God Liu Kang's New Era of peace, Mortal Kombat 1: Khaos Reigns expands the story campaign with an all-new cinematic narrative,” the blurb reads. “When a perilous threat arrives from an alternate timeline, led by the ruthless Titan Havik whose sole mission is to throw the realms into khaos, Liu Kang must rally his champions and put faith in his enemies to defeat this grave danger. If they fail, the New Era will be reduced to anarchy.

” The new storyline will be bundled together with Kombat Pack 2, which interestingly will not be available separately. Three returning characters will be available day one, alongside the new campaign: Noob Saibot, Cyrax, and Sektor. They’ll then be followed at a later date by guest fighters Ghostface, T-1000, and Conan the Barbarian.

The latter two will feature the likenesses of actors Robert Patrick and Arnold Schwarzenegger. Finally, a free update for everyone will add Animalities to the game, spanning the entire cast of characters. “Allowing characters to morph into their spirit animal to annihilate defeated opponents, Animalities can be performed by all playable fighters and will be available in conjunction with the Mortal Kombat 1: Khaos Reigns release,” the press release reveals.

As you can see from the trailer, these new Animalities are especially outrageous. How are you feeling about this update? Is it enough to get you to boot up Mortal Kombat 1 again? Finish your thoughts in the comments section below. [source youtube.

Comments 2 Bit pricey but yeah i'm very hyped for this. Wonder how fatalities will work on the T-1000 considering its just liquid metal and nothing else. Hopefully Arnie is voicing Conan, he couldn't voice the T-800 due to being too busy but hopefully that isn't the case now.

That's cool. I want Mk9 remaster, MKvsDcu and mk midway collection after this. Tap here to load 2 comments Leave A Comment Hold on there, you need to login to post a comment.
