Thursday, January 23, 2025 Morocco’s Tourism Office (ONMT) is making significant strides in strengthening the country’s appeal in European tourism markets through its participation in FITUR 2025. Held in Madrid from January 22-26, the 45th International Tourism Fair is the second-largest tourism event globally and serves as a critical platform for industry players. Morocco’s pavilion, a standout feature of this year’s event, attracted high-profile attention from Spanish King Felipe VI and Queen Letizia, who inaugurated the fair and visited the pavilion.
ONMT’s General Director Achraf Fayda, along with Morocco’s ambassador to Spain, Karima Benyaich, and the National Confederation of Tourism’s President, Hamid Bentahar, warmly welcomed the royals. A delegation of 180 Moroccan tourist operators, representing both public and private sectors, is accompanying ONMT at FITUR. Their mission is to highlight the country’s diverse tourism offerings, with a particular focus on the regions of Errachidia and Tangier.
These areas are celebrated for their cultural richness, scenic beauty, and potential to attract more international travelers.
