We have more newsletters Show Me No thanks, close See our Privacy Notice Another round of overnight closures have been announced for the A14 , starting this week and trailing into the beginning of August. National Highways say the A14 junction 21 Brampton to junction 24 Cambridge Services/Boxworth will be closed for 10 nights for resurfacing work, including bridge joint renewal and road markings.

Work started on Monday, July 22, and is expected to last until Friday, August 2. The closure will be in place between 8pm and 6am. Work will be carried out on weeknights only and the westbound and eastbound carriageways will be closed on separate dates.

It will instead take traffic along the M11 , A428 and A1 before rejoining. National Highways has said the works will ensure the A14 continues to remain in a "safe and serviceable" condition.

The first week of closures (July 22 to 26) will be on the A14 westbound and the second week running until August 2 will be eastbound.
