The “biggest, baddest” monster trucks will be coming to Powys later this month. Truckfest will be “roaring into Wales for the first time ever” and will be crammed with “jaw-dropping trucks” and “high-octane stunts” as it comes to the county later this month. Organisers have said that they have decided to put on their hugely popular show at the Royal Welsh Showground later this month after “overwhelming demand”.
Event Founder Colin Ward said: “Truckfest has long been a favourite in the UK, for well over 40 years to be precise, and has been drawing massive crowds and creating unforgettable experiences. “For many years we have always been asked to bring the event to Wales and we are delighted to finally for the first time ever bring Truckfest to the heart of Wales. Whether you are a truck lover, adrenaline junkie, or simply looking for a fun-filled weekend, Truckfest has something for everyone.
” Truckfest is billed as the “biggest, baddest, and most exhilarating trucking event of the year” and will see stunts and celebrity guest appearances. Organisers said: “We are thrilled to welcome Ice Road Trucker Todd Dewey, who is extremely excited to join us in Wales. And stars from the hit Tv show ‘The Gladiators’.
“So, do not miss your chance to snap a photo and get an autograph from this trucking legend.” Other highlights will include “daring stunt bike performances – watch in awe as skilled riders defy gravity with heart-stopping tricks and jumps.” There will also be one of the main attractions with Monster Trucks ‘Slingshot’ and ‘Swampthing’ – “these behemoths of the road will crush, jump, and roar their way through spectacular shows that you will not want to miss”.
There will also be “an incredible array of trucks from across the globe. From classic beauties to modern marvels, there is something for every truck enthusiast”. Truckfest will be at the Royal Welsh Showgrounds, Saturday, August 24: 9am-5.
