In a grappling-heavy affair, Jandiroba seemed to have an answer for everything Lemos presented.

The finishing sequence was a thing of beauty as Jandiroba slipped from a rear-naked choke attempt on the back to torque a gruesomely-angled armbar. Sam Patterson locks it in for the first round finish 🔒 — ESPN MMA (@espnmma) [autotag]Sam Patterson[/autotag] (12-2-1 MMA, 2-1 UFC) was quickly able to establish dominance on the ground before submitting Kiefer Crosbie (10-5 MMA, 0-2 UFC) in their welterweight bout. Patterson scored his second straight first-round submission when he on Crosbie within three minutes of the opening round.

Patterson caught Crosbie coming in with an uppercut before taking him down to the mat and submitting him. Green came out swinging, but ultimately shot for a takedown. Pimblett grabbed his neck and pulled for a guillotine choke. When Green popped his head out, Pimblett promptly snatched a triangle choke.

Green tried to adjust, but Pimblett grabbed his leg. As Green sat back the lights went out and Pimblett incorporated an armbar, as well. Green was unconscious and the fight was waved off.

Pimblett continues his surge up the UFC ladder. The submission was his third in six UFC fights. Prior to the win over Green, Pimblett had defeated Tony Ferguson, Jared Gordon, and Jordan Leavitt among others.
