Police searched for the missing man at Britannia Beach on Thursday afternoon, with its marine dive and trail unit and front-line patrol officers combing the waters and surrounding park. Several police cars and emergency vehicles were on the scene and a large swath of the beach was cordoned off by police tape, but other people were still swimming nearby in the designated swimming area.
