The fight was originally scheduled for July 20, but it was postponed after Tyson had an ulcer flare-up while on a flight in May. Friday's bout will be contested over eight two-minute rounds and is sanctioned by the Texas Department of Licensing and Regulations. Paul has won four consecutive fights since losing to Tommy Fury by split decision in February 2023, while Tyson has fought in two exhibitions since returning in 2005.
