I remember being on a plane during a particularly sketchy stretch of turbulence and having the thought, ‘I’ll never know how Lost ends now.’ My mind works like that. Sporting events and movies were always major signposts along my life’s journey.

At that stage of my pre-kids existence, too, I was four and a half seasons into Lost and had come too far to turn back. As a father of four, I now have less time to go down seasons-long TV rabbit holes. I have to content myself with match highlights or Reels, rather than full 80 and 90-minute viewings.



You have to cede some ground, especially when there is Lego to be pieced together or trampolines to be refereed..
