Birth: 1938 Death: 2024 Beloved Michael Merritt Harrison passed away on August 6th 2024 after a long battle with Lewy Body Dementia. He is survived by his wife of 20 years Mindy Schwartz, son Sean Harrison, sisters Judy Wolen and Julie Hahn. He was pre-deceased by his brother and sister Richard Harrison and Venecia Harrison.

Michael was a joyful, happy- go- lucky and charming man. Although a popular painting contractor by profession, his main passion was music. He taught himself to play the piano and guitar as a child and studied college level music theory after his service in the US Naval Air.



As a young man he was influenced by now famous musicians he met during his tenure at the Troubadour Nightclub in Los Angeles. Michael wrote many beautiful songs and had the singing voice of an angel. One of his songs was recorded by South African singer songwriter Miriam Makeba.

Most of all Michael was a kind and gentle man loved by many. To know Michael was to love him. His motto throughout his life was “take it slow and take it easy”.

He will be missed. A celebration of Michael’s life is planned for the fall.Donations in his memory may be sent to the Lewy Body Dementia Association at ww.
