Micah Richards once mocked Richarlison for getting Brazil team-mate Neymar tattooed on his back. Tottenham forward Richarlison, who has largely struggled since his £60million move to north London in 2022, had an impressive tournament for Brazil at the World Cup in Qatar two years ago. He scored three goals for his country in four appearances, including a memorable brace against Serbia.

But after the Selecao were knocked out by Croatia on penalties in the quarter-finals, the now 27-year-old celebrated his individually successful tournament in bizarre fashion. The former Everton star opted to get a tattoo on his back of not only his own face, but also his idol Ronaldo Nazario and team-mate Neymar. The huge piece of inkwork sees the three footballers etched across his back, as well as the Brazil flag, a nod to World Cup legend Pele and another image depicting a young boy holding a ball while staring at the favelas wearing a Richarlison shirt.



Neymar, who still plays for Brazil and Al-Hilal in Saudi Arabia, is his nation’s second-most-capped player ever, with 79 goals to his name. Ronaldo, meanwhile, is a two-time World Cup and Ballon d'Or winner. Richarlison revealed the tattoo after scoring a 93rd-minute equaliser against Liverpool in 2023.

However, his bizarre gesture did not go down well with fans on social media, and Sky Sports pundit Richards was among those to voice his confusion. Richards was heard laughing in the background when Richarlison’s tattoo was brought up f.
