With its diverse landscapes, favorable climate, and dynamic cultural scene, Miami-Dade County has captivated filmmakers since the 1910s, drawing talent from around the world. The exhibition also pays tribute to iconic films such as the crime drama Scarface (1983), whose poster became a pop culture phenomenon.

Additional highlights include the HBO Max release Father of the Bride (2022), featuring Miami-raised stars Andy Garcia and Gloria Estefan, and Moonlight (2016), the Academy Award winner for Best Picture, directed by Miami native Barry Jenkins, who filmed scenes in Liberty City, the culturally and historically rich neighborhood where he grew up.
