Dhaka University (DU) station of the Metro Rail will remain closed for four days -- December 16, 25, 31 and January 1. DU Proctor Saifuddin Ahmed stated it on Sunday (December 8). He said the Dhaka University (DU) station of the Metro Rail will remain closed on December 16, 25, 31 and January 1 for security reasons.
The decision was taken at a meeting on Sunday with Adviser for Home Affairs in the chair. It may be mentioned that the Victory Day falls on December 16, Christian community's biggest religous festival 'Christmas Day' on December 25, and the last day of the Gregorian calendar falls on December 31. At night of that day, 'Thirty-first Night' is celebrated to welcome the New Year.
