Mercedes has launched its flagship EQS SUV in the Indian market for Rs 1.41 crore (ex-showroom). Here is everything you need to know.

Mercedes Benz has been going on a frenzy with their electric car portfolio in the Indian market. They recently launched the all new flagship Mercedes Maybach EQS SUV in the Indian market and will now be coming out with the EQS SUV which is the largest electric SUV they make currently. The new EQS has been priced at Rs XX crore (ex-showroom) in the Indian market and competes with the likes of the BMW iX and the Audi Q8 e-Tron.

The EQS SUV is for someone who wants to travel in ultimate luxury but wants an electric vehicle instead of the petrol or diesel powered GLS SUV which has been quite popular in the Indian market as well. The EQS SUV is similarly large and luxurious and offers the latest and greatest tech from the German car manufacturer. Mercedes Benz EQS SUV: Exterior and Interior Design The EQS SUV follows the same jelly-bean shape of all the other electric vehicles from Mercedes Benz.

There are LED headlights, a large grille which dominates the front of the vehicles and an LED lightbar running across the width of the car. The car looks huge from all angles and it is indeed one of the biggest SUVs for sale in the market. On the inside the dashboard is dominated by a massive glass surface which incorporates three individual screens.

This includes the 12.3-inch digital drivers display, the 17.7-inch infotainment touch screen and a 12.

3-inch passenger display as well. There is also a heads up display which gets augmented reality features as well. The interior has its fair share of quality materials lashed through the cabin with beautifully sculpted leather seats and a lot of features like the large panoramic sunroof, ambient lighting, a Burmeister audio system and heated and ventilated seats with massage functionality as well.

Mercedes Benz EQS SUV: Drivetrain The Mercedes Benz EQS SUV will be offered in India in the 580 guise. It comes with a 118 kWh battery pack which will give it an effective range of around 809 kms. The dual motors give it 544 bhp and 858 Nm of torque.

It will be able to charge from 10-80% in just 31 minutes on a DC fast charger while the 7.4 kWh charger will top the battery up in 18.5 hours.

This is quite reasonable range for an SUV of this size and is around the same as an average ICE vehicle will go in one full tank of fuel. Mercedes Benz EQS SUV: Pricing and Deliveries The Mercedes Benz EQS SUV has been priced from Rs 1.41 Crore (ex-showroom).

Deliveries will commence from the festive season and one can book the vehicle either online or from their nearest Mercedes Benz dealer..
