He’s an icon, an inspiration, he’s Chiranjeevi Konidela. A major celebrity in the South Indian film fraternity, who has acted in 156 movies and performed a whopping 24,000+ dance movies in over 537 songs in his remarkable cinematic journey of 45 years. For his major contribution to the world of acting, the megastar, 69, was recently honoured with a Guinness World Record certificate.

Bollywood superstar Aamir Khan and a representative of Guinness handed over the certificate to Chiranjeevi at an event in Hyderabad on Sunday, September 22. The world record organisation recognized him as “The most prolific film star in the Indian Film Industry-actor/dancer.” On Monday, Chiranjeevi expressed his gratitude for the recognition on social media.



“My heart is filled with gratitude. The Guinness World Record is something I had never imagined. This became possible only because of Each one my Producers and Directors who have given me opportunities over the years.

All the Music Directors who have composed great songs and all the Choreographers who have given me some memorable dance moves. A post shared by Ram Charan (@alwaysramcharan) Chiranjeevi, known for his works in movies including, Indra, Sye Raa Narasimha Reddy, Godfather, Acharya, and many more was also bestowed with Padma Vibhushan, the second highest civilian honour awarded in India, last year. He also became the recipient of Padma Bhushan, the third-highest civilian honour in India in 2006.
