Set to be released in coming months, Havoc follows a detective, played by Tom Hardy, as he rescues a politician’s estranged son from a dark criminal underworld. In addition to Hardy, Havoc will also star Xelia Mendes-Jones, Forest Whitaker, and Timothy Olyphant. Megan Lockhurst, who moved to Billericay three years ago, plays a newsreader in the movie and spoke about the wild experience of being on set.
“I booked Havoc through my agent and was initially just meant to travel down to the set from Billericay for a hair and makeup check but got a call enroute asking if I would be prepared to film that day,” she said. An issue with another scene meant Megan had to step up last minute, without having learnt her lines or prepared for the role. “I just jumped straight into it, and it all turned out well,” she said.
Adding: “I filmed my scenes in front of this huge greenscreen and at the end, the director let me know that I’d saved the day’s filming.” Megan moved to the UK from Canada around ten years ago to pursue a career in music, initially settling in Bristol. She later relocated in Billericay where she continues to live.
