Leslie, No. A514613, is a grumpy softie Leslie is a gorgeous 2-year-old German shepherd mix who has been awaiting her forever home for far too long. Leslie is very nervous while meeting new people and encountering new things.

Unfortunately, her trepidation sometimes means she will bark at people she doesn’t know, which in turn makes people shy away from her. Thankfully, the trainers at Pasadena Humane have been working with her to build her confidence, and they’ve seen her start to show off her true personality much more clearly. Leslie is a very smart and easy-to-train dog.

She knows quite a few training cues like “sit,” “down” and “shake.” She will even “play dead” and pretty much anything else you try to teach her. With a smart dog like Leslie, the sky is the limit! Leslie also bonds very quickly with everyone who can see through the gruff exterior that she puts up.

Once you’re in her inner circle, all she wants is to be attached to you at the hip. She will constantly check in on you as you take her out for a walk or work on training with her. As her confidence grows, her inquisitive and fun nature comes out.

She will find a plush toy to relax with, or she’ll sniff out the treat you thought she missed. When she relaxes on her dog bed, she is as happy as can be. With the right family, this nervous girl will surely blossom into the amazing dog we all know she can be.

Come spend some time with Leslie and see this diamond in the rough! The adoption fee for dogs is $150. All dog adoptions include spay or neuter, microchip and age-appropriate vaccines. View photos of adoptable pets and schedule an adoption appointment on the website.

Adoptions are by appointment only, and new adoption appointments are available at 10 a.m. Sundays and Wednesdays.

Walk-ins are available from 2-5 p.m. daily.

They’ve said that she is such a loving and wonderful girl who loves cuddling on the couch or bed and playing fetch or chewing on her toys. Her favorites were squeaky toys, though she happily chews on any the toys given to her. She recently went on an overnight field trip and was exceptionally well-behaved in the foster family’s apartment.

She was clearly house-trained, never had any accidents, and knew how to sit on command (especially if you had treats handy). She rarely barked and showed no signs of anxiousness when left alone for short periods. This sweet girl was also a wonderful work-from-home companion.

During several work Zoom meetings, Trina was left alone in the bedroom with the door closed, and she was perfectly content, either sleeping or playing with her toys. She also enjoyed car rides, happily sitting in the back seat without any issues. Trina is ready to be your plug-and-play dog! Come see for yourself and meet her today.

Pets may not be available for adoption and cannot be held for potential adopters by phone calls or email pasadenahumane.org Geordi and Dotti are a super sweet pair Age 5 months, Geordi and Dotti were rescued from a feral colony, and even then, their sweetness shone bright. Geordi is a black and white male shorthair and Dotti is mostly white with black spots.

Dotti is playful and curious, with a strong affectionate nature. Geordi has gentle, soulful eyes and is the very definition of a snuggle bug. This masked charmer loves nothing more than to purr in someone’s lap.

They’ve been loved from babyhood at Lifeline for Pets, and volunteers there know this duo will win your heart once you meet them. It would be best for them to be adopted together, unless there is a friendly young feline at home already. For more information about Lifeline for Pets, 626-676-9505.
