Upon commencement of service, it is being touted as the ‘fastest’ metro system in the country. These trains are entirely manufactured in India and come with a range of passenger comforts. NCRTC, responsible for the Delhi-Meerut rapid rail project, will be operating these trains.

The route map for the 23 km long corridor includes 13 stations that can be covered in just 30 minutes. These stations are Meerut South, Partapur, Rithani, Shatabdi Nagar, Brahampuri, Meerut Central, Bhaisali, Begumpul, MES Colony, Daurli, Meerut North, Modipuram and Modipuram Depot.
: Prioritising safety, platform screen doors (PSDs) will be installed at all stations synchronised with metro operations and also help in ensuring crowd management. Selective door opening via push buttons reduces energy consumption. Safety measures like passenger emergency communication system, fire extinguishers, alarms, and talk-back systems are integrated.
