Robert Downey Jr. is officially a Broadway star and we have the first photos from his new play McNeal ! The Oscar-winning actor is making his Broadway debut in the brand new play, which is being produced by Lincoln Center Theater in assocation with Team Downey. Here’s a synopsis: “Jacob McNeal ( Downey Jr.
) is a great writer, one of our greatest, a perpetual candidate for the Nobel Prize in Literature. But McNeal also has an estranged son, a new novel, old axes to grind and an unhealthy fascination with Artificial Intelligence.” Also starring in the play are Tony winners Andrea Martin and Ruthie Ann Miles , as well as Melora Hardin , Rafi Gavron , Brittany Bellizeare , and Saisha Talwar .
McNeal was written by Pulitzer Prize winner Ayad Akhtar and features direction by Bartlett Sher . The limited engagement is running through November 24 at Lincoln Center Theater. Get tickets now , while you still can!.
