McDonald's Australia has shocked customers by revealing it ordered more than 150million kilograms of potatoes and 80million kilograms of beef last year. The popular fast-food restaurant chain shared its billion-dollar shopping list for 2023, which included everything from meat and chicken to milk, eggs and salad. Despite an egg and potato shortage and the cost of living crisis the fast-food giant sold millions across the nation.

In the last year alone, McDonald's contributed more than $1billion to the local supply chain by using Australian produce, products, and ingredients from over 15,000 farmers in its food.
