58 lakh and Rs25.05 lakh, respectively. All four incidents occurred between Dec last year and June this year, the city police said, adding that separate cases were registered on Monday following the verification of complaint applications filed by the victims.

The modus operandi was similar in all these cases. The victims soon contacted the group admins, expressing their interest in online trading .

The admins promised high returns in shares and initial public offerings (IPOs) and asked the victims to transfer money to certain bank accounts.
