Heathland House marked the occasion with a visit from the Ferndown town mayor, councillor Terry Cordery. Ahead of Remembrance Sunday, the mayor chatted with the home’s oldest resident Adrian Nadler, aged 98, who joined the Indian Army in Bangalore in 1942, becoming a captain in the seventh Indian Division. Adrian had moved into Heathland House in 2023 to be near to his daughter and family, who live close by.
Debbie Holmes, home admission advisor at Heathland House, said: “It was a pleasure to host the mayor to celebrate our second birthday. Our residents have thoroughly enjoyed the day. We are extremely lucky to be part of such a vibrant and welcoming community.
