Iconic sketch comedy series Saturday Night Live launched its 50th season with a cold open featuring guest stars Maya Rudolph, Jim Gaffigan, Andy Samberg, Bowen Yang, and James Austin Johnson as 2024 presidential candidates and their partners. Rudolph, portraying Kamala Harris , opened the sketch saying: "Well, well, well, look who fell out of that coconut tree. Your fun aunt has returned.

" The TV skit follows Kamala Harris being told she is "not ready for the Oval Office," and Sydney Sweeny's appearance on the show . She added: "I am so happy to be campaigning in whatever swing state I'm in, which I will just refer to as Wisconsin-Pennsylv-Georgia because I am going to protect your Va-Georgia." Mark Anderson shares Kelsey's blunt advice before his Golden Bachelorette debut Golden Bachelorette's Jack says he'd do senior Paradise 'in a split second' Gaffigan, as Tim Walz, joined in: "I haven't been this excited since I got a 10 per cent rebate on a leaf-blower for Menards.

" Fans have now taken to social media to voice their opinions on the skit. One user stated: "This is not comedy. It's red meat propaganda to rev up the base.

Maya Rudolph is playing Kamala WAY too smart, especially with the song reference. Kamala is vague, clueless, meandering, wandering to nowhere." "the impression is incredible and the writing is horrendous," another one added.

A third penned: "You forgot to add jokes." "I think we might actually be living in hell," a fourth wrote. DON'T MISS: Two Golden Bac.
