Kate Dixon. Tierney is the second new(ish) cast member on the long-running crime procedural; joined L&O midway through last season after the departure of the show’s longest-serving cast member, . A two-time Emmy nominee, Tierney has starred in two NBC series previously: from 1995-99 and from 1999-2009.



She earned her first Emmy nomination for playing Abby Lockhart on in 2001. She also has a history, albeit a brief one, with , having guest-starred in an episode of the show’s second season in 1991. Tierney is currently co-starring in , which in its opening weekend.

Her recent credits also include Showtime’s and and . She is repped by UTA and Untitled Entertainment. Tierney joins a cast that also includes Mehcad Brooks, Reid Scott, Hugh Dancy and Odelya Halevi.
